Browsing and search

The directory has no user accounts. Search and filters run in your browser. Search terms may appear in the page URL, browser history and ordinary hosting logs. We use Google Analytics 4 on our production domain to understand site use. Google may receive page views, browser/device information, approximate location and connection information, and may set analytics cookies. We omit search query parameters from the initial page-view URL and disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our tag configuration. We do not deliberately send the precise coordinates used by the nearest-spring feature to Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy and Analytics opt-out options. No advertising scripts are active.

Optional location

“Use my location” asks your browser for permission. Coordinates are used in memory to calculate approximate distances and are not sent to our server by this feature. You can decline permission and use region filters instead. Your browser or operating system may use its own location services.

Optional maps

Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap only after you press the load-map button. Those requests expose ordinary connection data, such as IP address, browser information, referring site and the map area requested. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. The text directory remains usable without loading a map.

Hosting and external links

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Serving and protecting the website involves ordinary request and security logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Operator and source links lead to independently operated websites with their own policies.

Contact messages

Email links open your mail application. A correction email contains the address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use it to review and respond to the request. Do not include sensitive information. To request deletion of your correspondence, contact [email protected].

Changes

If advertising, analytics or new data-collection features are introduced, this page will be updated to describe them.
